ReFrame Life is The ReFrame Group’s community outreach as well as social and environmental impact program. This branch of the ReFrame organization is focused on enabling and inspiring ReFramers, their families, and communities, to take philanthropic action in organizations that are meaningful to them, and reduce their impact on the environment.
The ReFrame Group is a purpose driven social enterprise that puts community and the planet on par with profit. We work to achieve the highest standards of transparency, social and environmental standards, and we’re proud to be a Certified B Corporation.
The ReFrame Life program provides ReFramers with a day of volunteering at an organization of their choice every year. It’s up to each team member to initiate and choose who they’d like to support, allowing individuals to proactively make choices that are close to their heart and contribute directly to their communities.
We have been recognized as one of the Best for the World B Corps of 2021, which means that we scored in the top 5% of one of the five impact areas assessed during the certification process.

Skipper Otto Community Fisheries is keeping independent small-scale fishing alive in Canada, protecting our valuable ocean resources, and ensuring customers have direct access to wild, sustainable BC seafood. They work with independent, local fishermen, treating them with dignity and transparency, and paying living wages for their high quality, sustainably harvested catch.

Part of the ReFrame Life program involves enabling ReFrame employees to create micro-financing portfolios through Kiva. Kiva is an incredible platform that allows individuals and teams to provide financing for entrepreneurs in financially underserved communities around the world, elevating small businesses and aiding in alleviating global poverty. The ReFrame Group has partnered with Offsetters in order to better understand our carbon footprint, reduce emissions where possible and offset direct carbon emissions that cannot be reduced or eliminated. We are proud to be a Climate Positive Company, offsetting more than double the greenhouse emissions that we produce.
We are currently invested in the Offsetters Synergy Portfolio, a collection of projects from British Columbia and Uganda that have benefits extending beyond their climate positive attributes and into the communities they reside within. Great Bear Forest Carbon Project
An Improved Forest Management initiative generating emission reductions by protecting forests previously designated for commercial logging.
Uganda Efficient Wood Cookstoves
Increased distribution of 50% more efficient wood burning cook stoves around Uganda, enabling the capture of ~20,000 tCO2e per year.
Quandra Island Forestland Conservation Project
A project resulting in the conservation of 418 hectares of forestland previously designated for logging, resulting in ~90,000 tCO2e sequestered over 25 years.
